Saturday - Drilling in the Curve

The north place well has achieved total depth. The well has been logged and they are now drilling the curve that will begin the horizontal portion of the well.

At home drilling depth is 8700 feet and still in the Barnett Shale formation. The shale is a little thicker here than originally thought. They will drill about 100 feet past the bottom of the shale layer, log the well and then begin the horizontal portion of the well.



About 2 inches of rain today added a little more water to both ponds. This one is almost full.
