Plans for North Place Well

This email came from EnCana, the company supplying the money for drilling at the north place.

"EnCana will not be able to complete the horizontal leg of the
Washmon-Pipes Unit, Well No. 1H due to the degradation of the reservoir
rock in this area. It is my understanding that EnCana's plans are to
plug the wellbore at the kickoff point and suspend the well as a
vertical well. The scientists will make a decision at some point in the
near future as to whether we should attempt a completion in the vertical
well or use the wellbore for other purposes. It is premature to say if
and when EnCana will drill another well on your lease. I am sure that
you will be hearing from me or another EnCana representative after some
decisions have been made. We wish that we had better news to convey to
you. Unfortunately, this is a tough area and it will take some time to
figure out the solutions to the problems. Thank you for your patience

I guess we will just wait to see what happens next. I don't know what he means by "use the wellbore for other purposes!"
